AbstractPropaganda with radical content and early stages of extremism from different ideological origins are already - and often directly targeted - at young audiences. It is therefore of great importance in the Austrian context, especially with regard to the viral distribution via new/social media, to identify these early attempts of extreme ideological control in pedagogical environments. This will lead to a focus on effective, simple resilience factors and existing resources – and to the development of countermeasures. Great importance will be attached to the identification, evaluation and target group-oriented optimization as well as to the active inclusion of currently existing solutions. The two-year research and development project AWID will tackle this issue through a strongly end-user focused, scientifically based, participative, multi-media, resilience-focused action concept for teachers to prevent devaluation ideologies.
